This 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage has
a new,wrap-around deck, made with splinter-free composite wood, that has an incredible view of the Atlantic Ocean.

No need to even go to the beach to hear the waves, smell the salty air and feel the ocean breeze.  But just a short walk (about 120 steps) on a path through the grasses, brings you to the top of the dune leading down to the water's edge.

The cottage has two bedrooms each with one queen size bed.  One bed is brand new.  The living room sofa is
also brand new in 2016, however the water and septic systems are sized to accommodate only 4 people.   A
central heating system will chase
away the chills on cool nights.

There is a large, octagonal picnic table on the deck and just off the deck, there is a charcoal BBQ.  A newly remodeled kitchen (new in 2012), new bedroom floors, ceiling fans throughout, cable TV and cable Wi-fi Internet make this the perfect

spot for your beach getaway.  To make it even better, this ocean view cottage now has central air-conditioning!

Bring your pet for an additional pet fee.  This is a non-smoking cottage and it rents from Saturday to Saturday in season with a weekly price that ranges from $1,650.00 to $3,000.00. Stays shorter than a week are sometimes possible in the early Spring or late Fall.  Call or email us for details.

440 Nellie Rd. is a great cottage by the sea in a great location.  But don't take our word for it.

“A Whale of a Place”
5 of 5 stars
We spent 3 nights at 440 Nellie Rd. which was located snugly in the dunes at the end of a dead end road overlooking the ocean. No better location in my book! Imagine watching a pod of whales feeding right out in front! I could watch them through the wall of large windows from a comfy chair inside the cottage while sipping my morning tea. You could see them with the naked eye but binoculars gave a fantastic view. We spotted them all 4 days we were there. The cottage is an oasis of privacy and quiet, at least in late Oct. It is convenient to Rt. 6 but off the beaten path. Below the dunes stretch miles of sandy beach. In a relatively short time we drove to hike at the Wellfleet Audubon Refuge, Nauset Marsh, Montomy Point in Chatham and down to P'Town and the Province lands. There was a lovely new deck on 2 sides of the cottage with comfortable seating, picnic table, umbrella and clothes line. Everything we needed was provided although to save a bit we brought our own sheets and towels. The cottage was clean and management was cheerful and helpful. They quickly attended to a problem with the heat and offered any assistance we might need. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone who wants a peaceful get-away in a prime location.

Management Response:
Thanks for the review. Whale sightings from this cottage is not a common occurance but, obviously, it does happen. We were lucky to have a pod of whales feeding just offshore this October.

“I can't imagine any other vacation cottage and location surpassing this one”

Private location on a bluff with a magnificent view of the ocean. Natural setting; non-commercial. The cottage was well-furnished, very clean and with new appliances. (however, TV is old tube type with muffled audio:( The wrap-around deck was spacious and furnished with picnic table, deck chairs, lounger and coffee table. 20 minutes from P-town (off-season:) ---Linda M.
Management Response:
Thanks for great review. We have updated the cottage with a new, flat-panel TV, mounted on the wall in the living room and a new, composite-wood wrap around deck to prevent splinters.

“A very, very special place!”

We almost didn't want to write this review because we don't want our secret out! We love staying at the Surfside Cottages. They are in a perfect location, Lecount Hollow, and are beautifully maintained. Armand, the manager, is helpful from the time you reserve to the time you check out. We can't wait to go back each spring.
This property has an amazing view of the ocean, a great deck and plenty of parking. It also has a newly renovated kitchen with a large refrigerator. Great spot! ---TravelswithChris Springfield, MA

“Beautiful views!”
4 of 5 stars
Wonderful small cottage with gorgeous ocean view and huge deck. Small kitchen, but has everything you need. No W & D, so if staying a week, you may need to hit a laundry mat. Husband and I stayed 3 nights, so not a problem. ---LynnMKerr Acton, MA

“Wonderful week at the Cape”
5 of 5 stars
This is the second year we have rented this cottage although we have been going to the Cape for over 20 years. The location, views, access to the beach and the bike path are perfect. Cottage was clean and comfortable. Looking forward to our next trip. --- Lois and Michael, VA

“Greatest location ever”
5 of 5 stars
Location is the very best thing about this cottage. Everything else is just a supplement. Pretty clean, basic, though comfortable. Very nice porch. Highly recommended. A reviewer from Chicago

“Great spot, great service!”
5 of 5 stars
We love this area for our family with 2 kids (ages 8, 11). There is lots to do within a short drive, and the bike trail is great (Cape Cod Rail Trail). The view is wonderful, the cottage is clean, and Surfside provides excellent, friendly service. Note: access to the beach at LeCount Hollow is a steep sandy path. That could be a challenge for someone who has trouble with mobility. Chris and Meghan, MA

“Great location, great week.”

This is the second year I have stayed at 440 Nellie. You cannot beat the location and the price. You are overlooking the North Atlantic. The cottage is in the National Seashore. There are few of these left that are on the rental market. You are just a two minute walk to the Lecount Hollow Beach and within a short driving distance of many good restaurants. This year owner has put in new kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom floors. Enjoyed the stay. A reviewer from Massachusetts

“What a fantastic long weekend!”
5 of 5 stars
Wonderful cottage with a spectacular view and perfect location! It was very comfortable and the management was friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. We spent a lot of time biking and the cottage was minutes away from the Cape Cod Rail Trail and PB Boulangerie, an amazing French bakery and restaurant. The ocean view was perfect: we could see it from the living room and deck and hear the waves at night. Couldn't have asked for a better experience! ---Veng, Malden, MA

“Absolutely perfect location.”
5 of 5 stars
This cottage offers a singularly spectacular location, as we had a panoramic view of the ocean and the beach that made it extremely difficult to leave the porch when the weather was pleasant. When it wasn't, it was very still very enjoyable to watch storms from the comfort of the amply windowed living room. Everything else was quite likable as well. For example the cottage is very isolated and quiet, but there are a number of great restaurants nearby (we especially loved the boulangerie on the corner). Also, aside from the beach, there is a lengthy nearby rail trail for jogging and cycling. The cottage itself was quite simple, but very functional. I can't imagine it lacking anything that anybody would need. Finally, Armand and his wife were both very pleasant and helpful and the check-in/check-out process could not have been any easier. ---A reviewer from Chatham

“Absolutely Wonderful”
5 of 5 stars
The first night we arrived, we grilled some steak and drank wine while we dined on the deck overlooking the ocean. It was absolutely and spectacularly beautiful, and most of our breakfasts were spent there as well. Even if it rains, you can sit on the couch and look at the view through the sliding glass door. The walks along the beach were wonderful, with usually some seals popping their heads up from time to time, and even a couple sightings of a whale spout in the distance. Marconi Station is within easy biking distance using the Rail Trail, and there is a general store nearby to pick up odds and ends, not to mention some great restaurants nearby. We're looking forward to our next visit. ---Tom, NY

“Fantastic view and location”
4 of 5 stars
440 Nellie is a very nice, private cottage with a wraparound deck that has a fabulous view of the National Seashore and Dunes. The beach, 150 yards down a nice sand path through the dunes, is incredibly convenient. The cottage has two nice bedrooms with comfortable beds, a small, but serviceable kitchen and a good sized living room with a terrific picture window and sliding door looking out to the same great view of the atlantic. Also has satellite TV - a rarity in these cottages. Wellfleet is a quaint little town with lots to do. All in all, highly recommended. We booked next year. ---AMS-AME, MA Management Response:
Thanks for great review. 440 Nellie Rd. now has Comcast Cable TV and Wi-fi Internet access.

“Get away from it all gazing at the Ocean”
5 of 5 stars
Excellent on-site service - efficient and friendly. The cottage had all we needed for a simple week's stay. China dessert bowls instead of plastic would have been nice. With decks on 3 sides you can sit outside in all wind directions and be sheltered. Very peaceful yet had all the shops you needed close by, including a gorgeous French bakery. We liked being so close to the beach best and we never tired of the views of the ocean and passing whales. Really useful were the binoculars that are in the house. In summer we would have wanted a shade umbrella for the picnic table. We rented bikes which were delivered to our door and we cycled to numerous beaches, ponds and the bay where even in May we swam - but we are hardy northern English folk! We wanted to spend all summer there! ---A. Lowe, England
