Surf Side cottage is only 400 steps
from the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. It is
a spacious two-story, three-bedroom cottage that has undergone extensive renovations and can comfortably accommodate 6 people. It is more like
a vacation house than a cottage and has a very large screened in porch the entire width of the cottage with a large sunny mahogany deck above it which
is a great place to do morning yoga, to read a book in the sun or to sip a glass of wine in the late afternoon or evening.
The living room has a fireplace, comfortable seating and a dining area. Off the living room is a bright, newly redecorated bedroom with a double bed. The fully equipped kitchen has been
completely renovated with hardwood floors, a full-size refrigerator, gas stove, microwave and dishwasher.
The renovated bathroom has a
floor and a shower with a skylight
and there is also an enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water.
The cottage's water is heated by a tank-less
on-demand water heater (very energy efficient).
The two upstairs bedrooms have been
completely renovated. The first, with a
queen bed, has two windows to welcome
the beautiful morning sunrise. The
second bedroom has two built in twin
beds. Both rooms have cathedral
ceilings, beautifully refinished hard
wood floors, motorized skylights and
ceiling fans. In 2016 a new,
gentler staircase to the second floor
Outdoors, behind the cottage, there is a charcoal BBQ, picnic table and clothesline. Your cottage key also opens a basement door for indoor
bicycle storage. Nearby, we have a building with coin-operated washers and dryers. There is a large sandy area behind
Surf Side for children to play and off street parking for two cars at the cottage.
This vacation house is pet friendly in the Spring and Fall only for an additional pet fee. No pets allowed
during the summer months, sorry. This is a non-smoking cottage and it rents from Saturday to Saturday, in season, with a weekly price that
ranges from $1,000.00 to $2,600.00. Stays shorter than a week are sometimes possible in the April, May, early June and in
October. Call or email us for details.

Surf Side is a great cottage in a great location. But don't take our word for it.

“Best Summer Cape Vacation Ever - Walk to Beach”
5 of 5 stars
We have stayed in four of the cottages Surf Side cottages but this year we rented "Surfside Cottage" on Wilson St. because it offered three bedrooms, enough for us, our children and their friends. We could not have been more pleased with our choice, as the cottage had been recently remodeled to include a granite kitchen, gas range, a bathroom with a shower with skylight, an outdoor shower, a wonderful upstairs bedroom with a skylight opening to a great roof deck. The other two bedrooms were also very comfortable: one with a full size bed, another with 2 twin beds, and a spacious living/dining room with a sofa that was long enough to stretch out on. Ceiling fans in the upstairs bedrooms kept breezes moving on even the hottest nights (and we had several!) The cottage was equipped with an excellent kitchen, with all utensils one needed (including a big lobster pot!), outdoor grill, and wireless internet. One recommendation is to bring a portable radio if, like us, you enjoy listening to baseball games, news, etc. No TV - which is just perfect for us.
If you have never been to the Outer Cape, I highly recommend it. It is somewhat quieter and more scenic that the rest of the Cape, the beaches less crowded and the restaurants excellent. If you don't mind a hike, you can walk to the Beachcomber at Cahoon Hollow Beach, exactly 1.5 miles down the road or via the beach, which obviates the need for a designated driver!
One real plus is Armand, who manages the cottages. He is very obliging and responsive to renters' needs and questions.
The other cottages we stayed at were smaller - two bedrooms - and closer to the beach by a matter of perhaps 1 minute or so. They were decorated in knotty pine, which was sort of dark and dated. I would recommend Surf Side Cottages (and in particular Surfside Cottage) to anyone who wants a quiet, very comfortable beach vacation. Any of the cottages would be an excellent choice, believe me.

Management Response: Surf Side cottage now has cable TV as well as Wi-fi Internet access.
“Magnificent cottage, magnificent ocean, magnificent stay!!”
5 of 5 stars
The pride the owners have in this property is shown throughout. Wonderful kitchen for a cottage this size with every cooking utensil you will ever need.
Wonderful screened in porch to relax and with a full size table a great place to eat outside in good or bad weather. Steps from the ocean and a roof
deck off the master bedroom where you can hear the sounds of the waves breaking. So quiet and comfortable! No TV or Wi-Fi which is fine with us, lots
of time to play games, do puzzles, read, go for walks...everything a vacation should be!! Short drive to many national seashore events and the bike path.

“another great weekend”
5 of 5 stars
loved the new kitchen set up for those who love to cook and plenty of room inside for inclement weather. Loved having my morning coffee and watching
the sunrise on the deck of the master bedroom. can't wait for next year. Armand and Lisa are wonderfull to work with!!! --A reviewer from Avon, CT
“Cozy cottages on beautiful beach near great food!”
5 of 5 stars
The cottages are on Lecount's Hollow Beach in Wellfleet - which is the upper cape. We saw wild life and heard the ocean and had such restful nights
sleeping! The cottage is well-equipped and comfortable. In the morning we drove down to PB Bistro to partake of the unbelievably fresh, luscious French
baked pastries - chocolate stuffed croissants - lovely buttery stuff. Being at Lecount's Hollow is one of the best locations because you can get to
Chatham and get to Provinceton. We will always come back! -- sdburhans, Old Saybrook, Connecticut
Management's response: These cottages are at LeCount Hollow but are not on the beach...just a short walk away. We are located on the "Outer Cape." The
upper cape is by the canal bridges.
“A wonderful week!”

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Surfside. The cottage is very comfortable, with everything that you could possibly need, and the beach,
well - perfection! Armand was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable - we'll definitely be back next year! --A reviewer from Toronto
“The Perfect New England Getaway”
5 of 5 stars
A hidden gem among the clean, white sandy beaches of the upper cape, Surf Side Cottages have much to offer in the way of ocean retreats. Tucked away in a
quiet residential neighborhood, the only sound you hear is the crashing of the waves echoing from LeCount Hollow beach, which is just steps away from your
cottage. My family and I have been coming to Surf Side cottage for many years and each time we are greeted with excellent service from Armand and Lisa,
and a clean, well-maintained cottage fitted with every amenity needed to enjoy our stay. Each morning we walk to the beach with our black lab, "Riley",
for a nice long stroll that is the most relaxing part of the day. The only souls on the beach are the surfers catching an early wave.
Surf Side's location is within minutes of some of the best shopping, dining, and recreation on the cape. Historic Provincetown is under twenty minutes
away by car, where you can stroll Commercial Street or catch a Whale Watch tour off the pier. There is something for every interest and all within a
short distance from this quaint oceanside retreat.
Overall Surf Side has become a home away from home and we will continue to stay every year, knowing that we will leave (unwillingly)with another
memorable experience! -- Nicole Garlock, CT
“Wonderful cozy cottage by the sea.”
5 of 5 stars
This three bedroom cottage has been completely updated and is within walking distance of the national seashore beaches. It is clean and comfortable and
has a fully equipped kitchen and a large fireplace. The only negative is a steep, narrow staircase to the upper bedrooms. A trip downstairs in the middle
of the night to use the only bathroom can be dangerous if you are not paying attention. Some carpeted stair treads would help. --Jeannine, New York
“The perfect vacation”
5 of 5 stars
I have stayed at this cabin for several years. It has always been everything I am looking for in a vacation cabin. The recent remodeling has made it even
better. The deck is awesome and the updated lighting is very much appreciated. The manager is the iceing on the cake! He was so attentive and friendly
that we felt really cared for. It does have a steep stairway. It reminds me of the ship's stairway at my Grandmother's house so I don't mind it at all,
but some might find it difficult. I really can't imagine a more delightful home-away-from-home. -- A reviewer from Bucks County PA
“Beautiful cottage - 1 block from ocean”
5 of 5 stars
I read about Surfside Cottages in a Cape Cod guidebook. The managers were extremely helpful in describing the various cottages available when we called
to make our reservation, and were just as helpful when we arrived. We stayed in Surf Side Cottage #3 for four nights in late May 2009 and loved it.
The location is great and the cottage was charming. The rooms and furniture were in excellent condition. The cottage has a fireplace, new kitchen,
screened-in porch, skylights, a second floor balcony, a barbeque and a bike room. You can hear the ocean from the porch. The cottage is one block from
the ocean and about 1/2 mile from the Cape Cod rail trail bike path. The cottage had EVERYTHING we needed - dishes, corkscrew, fireplace matches.
The stairs to the second story are very steep, which would not be good for young children or people with mobility problems. For anyone else, I highly
recommend it. -- Christine Y. NY
“A delightful cottage”
5 of 5 stars
This was a delightful cottage. The renovations were done with a great deal of care and thought. It has everything you need for a restful vacation.
The location can not be beat. It was quiet and private. The rooftop deck offered nice evenings watching the full moon. The beach was an easy walk so we
were able to take advantage of that quite a bit. The caretaker was very responsive and attentive. We would return in a heartbeat. --A Happy Camper, MA
