Cliffside is a great cottage in a great location. But don't take our word for it.
Below are unedited reviews written by past renters.
“Cliffside cottage was the perfect place for our fall getaway! The space was clean, bright, and inviting.
Warm and cozy on a stormy autumn night, cool and breezy on a sunny afternoon. The bed was so comfy!
We loved falling asleep to the distant roar of the sea. The cottage is a quick walk to beautiful beaches and is
centrally located near all points on the outer Cape. Plenty of books, movies, and games to keep everyone happy on a rainy day.
An absolute gem! We enjoyed our stay so much and we hope to return again soon!”
K. H., South Hadley, MA October 2019
“Amazingly cozy cabin just a skip and a hop from the beach. A great place to relax in front of the fire in a quiet area of the Cape.”
G.L. - Somerville, MA April 2019
"We had a lovely time! The location is incredible. The most important aspect of planning our vacation was finding a place where we could easily walk to the beach.
The walk was literally less than five minutes and the beach was absolutely beautiful. As someone who grew up visiting the lower parts of the Cape, I had no idea
how spectacular the National Seashore is. I enjoyed the vibe of Welfleet and found it to be less crowded than other Cape destinations. Armand was super nice and
gave us a great overview of the cottage and the surrounding areas. We hope to be back in the future! ”
V.G. New York, NY
“Armand and Lisa, as well as Peter were great hosts. They are responsive, courteous, friendly and helpful. The cottage is just as described, with plenty of space and literally steps to the beach. Lots of tips on where to enjoy dinner out,
and the happenings on the 4th of July — bonus! Short stroll to the fireworks right on Lecount Hollow Beach!”
J.S. Boston, MA
"Amazing Surfside cottage with a great location. The cottage has lots of updates was perfect. Easy walking to the beach. Close to many restaurants. Armand and Lisa were amazing hosts with great communications.
Highly recommend this for your Cape Cod needs."
The cottage is comfortable, cosy and very functional. We had yucky weather so stayed in more than we might have otherwise - being able to have a fire
in the fireplace was really nice. The small screened porch on the front would be a great spot for morning coffee while listening to the surf - it was
too wet this time for us though, we figure we'll just have to plan to go back!
Armand and his family were such a pleasure to meet and chat with during our weekend on The Cape. We wish we had longer to stay as the home was comfy and well-located.
We'll definitely be back! A bonus: the living area was great for our family of 5 adults to spend time in while playing board games available in the cottage! --E.M. New York, NY
“While sitting on the front porch, my stress and worries drifted away.”

We have been taking vacations, long weekends, and enjoying quick get aways to The Cape for about twenty years and never experienced the exceptional
treatment as we did at Surf Side Cottages. After speaking with Armand the property manager, we realized we had found our home away from home. Armand
and his wife Lisa manage the Cottages and work so hard making sure your every need is met. They work long hours making sure their guests are completely
satisfied. Our stay at Cliffside was perfect. We loved everything about the cottage. The owner's take such care about detail. The decor is absolutely
lovely, clean, inviting and totally relaxing. I did not want to leave!!! And that's the truth. I could have done nothing but enjoy my surroundings and
go home completely satisfied. And, Armand was so caring and concerned with our being happy. It was so nice to have someone so sweet and attentive.
If you have an issue, they are on call. Pleasant and extremely knowledgeable they will steer you to all the best places to eat, play and explore.
There really is so much to do, but if you just want rest and relax is right here at Surf Side. We walked the beautiful beachs and trails, ate at
delicious restaurants, shopped the interesting stores and chilled in our cozy and comfortable cottage. We were able to bring our best companions Rocky
and Ricky and they loved every minute of our vacation with us. We had a rough year in 2013 and anticipated some time away. We were not sure we could take
the time, but we made a decision to stay at Surf Side because Armand and Lisa were so wonderful and accommodating that we just went with it.....and we
are so very happy we did. We have great memories and already booked for next Spring and Fall. All we can say is give Surf Side a try you will be
hooked just like us. --Phyl and Pat, Somers, NY “Life is Good!”

Cliffside allows you to slow down and enjoy the little things that make life special. This was our second stay at Cliffside and we hope there will be
many others. We love this cottage. Wonderful kitchen with delightful yellow dishes, comfy beds, cozy decor, lots of light via all the windows and
skylights, fireplace for chilly evenings and an extra shower outdoors for sandy toes. Didn't use the available internet and glad there is no tv. Lots
of family games and books to enjoy! Great little walk to the beach. The multitude of songbirds in the pines surrounding the cottage will make sure you
don't miss the sun rising over the ocean. Location is close to everything on the Cape. Spending time away from Cliffside can be difficult though.
A second coffee in the screened in porch makes you want to linger all day. Armand and Lisa make you feel right at home when you arrive and are always
happy to recommend local restaurants, provide assistance and ensure your stay is perfect in every way. East coast hospitality at it's very best!
If you want to step away from the hurried pace of everyday life, then Cliffside is the place to relax! --Ferguson family, Ontario, Canada

Cliffside Cottage was a perfect fit for our group during our last stay. The space was great, warm living/fireplace area, full kitchen, comfortable
bedrooms... and of course bike racks and an outdoor shower. The location couldn't be better. A few steps from Lecounts, or a quick bike ride to
Marconi, White Crest or Cahoon Hollow beaches. We rode our bikes into Wellfleet Center each day. And the management was great, completely accommodating,
from my first emails about availability, to checking in and for the duration of our stay. For the true Cape Cod beach cottage experience, I highly
recommend a stay with Surfside Cottages. --Paul, Massachusetts “My whole family under one roof...best time ever!”

Although this cottage is a little on the small side, it worked perfectly for us! Our daughters came from California, bringing two very special grand
children and our son came from Vermont. It was the perfect family reunion! The cottage is adorable and extremely comfortable. You must take advantage
of the outdoor showers...it's awesome! --The Crowle family, CT “Great for kids - even toddlers!”

We stayed for 4 nights at Cliffside with our 3 year old twins and had the best experience. The agents were really flexible and welcoming - making sure
we had everything we needed. The cottage is a short walk to the beach, and we basically had the beach to ourselves the whole time (I guess the advantage
of going in May!). When we had enough of building sandcastles, we found it very easy to drive to the little towns along the Cape for afternoon trips.
We really liked Provincetown as a good mix of adult entertainment (shopping) and toddler entertainment (beach, tower to climb) even when it rained. We
also loved the Zooquarium in Yarmouth and the Museum of Natural History in Brewster. Overall this was a fabulous cottage in a great location. Oh, I
would just remind you to bring along Dvds to watch, we forgot so we read the books that were in the cottage. --Happy Punter, NJ “Don't read this”

Internet reviews are a double-edged sword: on one side we want to rave about Cliffside cottage in Surf Side Colony because it is a 60's gem lovingly
restored and updated without losing sight of the original "cottage" appeal, and on the other we want to keep it a secret, all to ourselves.
Armand and Lisa warned us about the danger of staying there and perhaps becoming honorary "Cape Codders." We needed no warning. We've been staying at
the Colony since 1961, and the family that now owns Cliffside has succeeded in bringing us back to those wonderful, sand-filled early years of beaches
and wood fires and striped bass and shells, when things seemed easier, and a rainy-day trip to shop in Orleans was magical.
We'll be back next year, and don't even think about renting for our weeks. Take whatever time you can get of this cottage. We promise, you'll come back.
--The Longhi Family, Massachusetts “This is a very enjoyable cottage.”

This place is so nice to come home to after a day at the beach, a bike ride, or a rainy day out shopping. The kitchen is great, the beds are comfortable,
and it is very clean. We loved that it is updated. It feels really good inside. Just a short walk to an amazing ocean beach. We had a wonderful week with
our family. The property managers are wonderful, too. They are very helpful. We will definitely be back. We found our yearly family vacation destination.

Going to this cottage was the perfect get-away for us. We were all very comfortable there, especially so because it has been updated and
very tastefully decorated--looked professionally done. Kitchen was very well stocked with cooking gadgets, and living room was
comfortable and cozy. There's no cable, but you can watch movies on a tv and there are several board games available. And best of all, the
cottage is just a very short walk to the beach. Definitely a great place to stay. Enjoy! --Shazie, MA

In May, 2009 we stayed in Cliffside Cottage, one of the many at Surfside Cottages, in the Cape Cod National Seashore in Wellfleet, MA. We were delighted
to find that it was modern and extremely clean. It has an outdoor shower, comfortable and spacious living space, and a well-equipped kitchen with all
one would need for preparing and serving meals. Its proximity to beaches and other major points of interest in the area added to its appeal. The
friendliness, courtesy, and personal attention of the property managers ensured that we had a memorable stay. We would highly recommend this cottage to
anyone. --"The Traveling Twins," Massachusetts
This is our first year in your beautifully appointed cottage. So comfortable and cheerful - full of light, fresh air and room for all four of us. A great
kitchen to cook in too. We love the chairs, skylights and boardwalk. Would love to come back and stay here in the fall (test out the heating!) -- D.G. Rhinebeck, NY
We loved this charming and oh-so-comfortable cottage! The owners have thought of everything. We've stayed at other Surf Side units - This is the best. Thank You. J.P. - New York City
