Check-In and Check-Out

Check-in time is after 4:00 pm. Check-out time is by 10:00 am. We apologize, but we are unable to offer early check in. Your understanding is appreciated.

Payment Policy

50% of the total amount is due at time of booking. The remaining amount is to be paid 30 day(s) before arrival.

General Policies

Quiet Hours begin each night at 10:00. After that time, please restrict your activities to those that would not awaken a child who may be asleep next door.

Guests are expected to leave the cottage in the same condition as when they arrived. Cleaning guidelines are posted on the refrigerator and cleaning supplies are provided in the cottage for you. The cottage is rented with the understanding that it will be left clean and in good order. Your cleaning/security deposit will be refunded by mail, after check-out, provided that the cleaning guidelines, that we leave in the cottage, are followed.

Cottages are equipped and zoned for occupancy by a maximum of people allowed per cottage as listed individually on the website. Occupancy and zoning policies are strictly enforced.

Reservations are considered commitments for the full-time period requested. Deposits are viewed by cottage owners as security against vacancies caused by cancellations or date changes.

If you must cancel a reservation, your deposit will be refunded (minus a cancellation fee equal to 15% of the total rent amount) as soon as the cottage is re-rented for that reservation period and the next renter's deposit is received.

Pet Policy

One pet is allowed for an additional fee of $100.00, plus tax, per week. Two pets are allowed for an additional fee of $165.00 plus tax, per week. Advanced notice required. Pet owner must agree to pick up and clean after the dogs and cats, honor the town's leash laws and to minimize disturbing the neighbors due to excessive barking. Please note not all of our cottage options allow pets. Those that do are specified in the amenities on the separate cottage pages.

Cancellation Policy

85% of prepayments made are refundable when cancellation is made 30 day(s) before arrival or earlier. Cancellations made after this period are non-refundable.

We understand that there are many legitimate reasons to have to cancel a reservation, some personal, some tragic and some are just unavoidable. If you cannot risk forfeiting your deposit, we would suggest "Trip Cancellation Insurance."

Sorry, no refunds are given for early departures.

Taxes and Fees

Besides the rent, there is a 14.45% or 17.45% state occupancy tax to be collected. We also collect a refundable $200.00 cleaning/security deposit but aside from that, there are no other fees involved with staying at this cottage.

Parking Pass Policy

Guests do not need a parking pass for Surfside cottages or Lecount Hollow Beach. In season, the town sells a beach parking permit only to Wellfleet renters. We offer a "Proof of Stay form" to our renters which will allow them to purchase the parking permit which is good at 4 ocean beaches, 3 fresh-water ponds, and 5 bay beaches. Of course, you are not required to purchase a parking pass. All of these beaches can be accessed on foot or by bicycle for free. Our beach is just down the street!
